At the heart of a cave stands an ancient bronze lion statue. Its eyes seem alive, as if waiting for its true owner to return. Duangjai (Panichda Saengsuwan) travels to Chiang Mai to attend the event of her close friend, Mook (Panisara Prathompatama). Her grandfather, Kraison (Wanchai Pawiboon), reluctantly grants her permission to go, trusting Mook’s promise to take good care of her. Officer Thiu (Buranchrat Hombut), another friend secretly in love with Duangjai, is stationed in Chiang Mai and offers to assist as well. However, the unexpected happens—Duangjai is kidnapped from the event, and no one can find her. When Duangjai regains consciousness, she is furious to discover that Singto (Chakrit Boonsing) is the one who abducted her and brought her deep into the forest. While staying in a remote hut, Duangjai tries several times to escape but fails due to the hut's secluded location, surrounded by mountains and dense forest. She attempts to negotiate with Singto to take her home, but he refuses, saying he will take her back when the time is right. In truth, her kidnapping was orchestrated by her grandfather, Kraison, who enlisted Phukhao (Jaturong Kolimas) and Singto to help hide her. Duangjai had survived multiple assassination attempts, driven by the jealousy of Monda (Savitree Samipak), Kraison’s eldest daughter and Duangjai’s aunt. Monda resents Duangjai ever since learning that Kraison left his entire fortune to Duangjai and Mekha (Watcharabul Leesuwan), an adopted son, while she, his biological daughter, received nothing.Meanwhile, Sangdin (Vench Falconer), a shaman from Khao Thong village, senses a disturbance in the skies and predicts that Singto’s arrival will bring trouble to the community. He orders his daughter, Dokkaew (Kannatsinee Trapsamee), to uncover Singto’s secrets. Singto’s friends, Suea (Surasak Suwanwong) and Kao (Sin Rujirawanich), help cover for him, but rumors quickly spread throughout the village that Singto is hiding a ghost in the hut at the village’s edge. When the villagers investigate, they discover that Singto has been hiding a woman—Duangjai. This revelation enrages Nangfa (Lelanee Tosaporn), who dreams of becoming Singto’s lover. Together with her loyal companions, Bua Ban (Danu Chutinavee) and Chompoo (Karuna Morris), Nangfa declares Duangjai her rival. Dokkaew, on the other hand, is heartbroken, knowing Singto does not love her. Her friend, Chaba (Wannarada Phetchamnan), constantly harasses Duangjai out of spite. To protect her, Singto pretends that Duangjai is his fiancée and explains that she’s staying in the hut to prepare for their wedding.Annoyed by the jealous women, Duangjai mischievously kisses Singto on the cheek in front of them, though she later scolds him for lying about their relationship. Singto offers a deal: if Duangjai can make the other women leave him alone, he will let her return home. The news of their “wedding” spreads throughout the village, catching the interest of Mafai (Jirayu Uengwanich), Nangfa’s brother, who recently returned to the village and is curious to meet Duangjai. Nangfa, determined to ruin the wedding, encourages her brother to pursue Duangjai romantically. Though Mafai has no romantic feelings toward her—he sees her as a little sister to protect—he plays along to provoke Singto. As Mafai becomes closer to Duangjai, Singto warns her to keep her distance from him, fearing their plan will be exposed. Singto also cautions Duangjai not to trust anyone easily, but she retorts that the one she trusts least is him, leaving him speechless and secretly irritated.Suea and Kao notice Singto’s jealousy and urge him to assert his authority as Duangjai’s “fiancé” by forbidding Mafai from getting close to her. However, Duangjai, enjoying the chaos, pretends to be interested in Mafai. Kao challenges Mafai to fight Singto, and Mafai accepts. This leaves Duangjai anxious, realizing that her antics have escalated into a serious confrontation between the two men.
