Chard-Gla (ANUWAT CHUCHERDRATANA) grew up in the slums with his mother, Am-Porn (CHADAPORN RATANAGORN), who makes a living collecting and selling trash. Sae Heng (SONGSIT RUNGNOPHAKUNSRI), a junk shop owner, was in love with Chard-Gla’s mother, offered to finance Chard-Gla’s school fee’s but he declined and instead continued to support himself through his ‘Green’ trash collecting. Chard-Gla would collect trash, separate it for recycling and re-using when possible and ensuring the that their community learned to care more for their environment. Chard-Gla was treasured by everyone in his community because of his actions. One day, Chard-Gla met and fell in love with Nid (KANNAPORN POUNGTHONG) who came from a wealthy family. He did everything he could to make himself worthy of her. Nid’s mother, however, had other plans for her. She had arranged for Nid to marry the son of a millionaire as she couldn’t see the value of her daughter marrying a resourceful and principled young man like Chard-Gla. Chard-Gla was devestated but undestood Nid’s mother and to relieve himself of some of the pain he left to join the Frontier Police Force. Chard-Gla puts all his energy into his work and was often praised and well loved by the villages that he served. Nid’s marriage did not work out for her as husband was often violent towards her and would beat her. Nid returned to Chard-Gla and he welcomed her with open arms. The next chapter in their lives, together, will now begin.
